"Jean Sumner creates functional and decorative pieces from wood with character, always striving to preserve the soul of the tree. She introduced natural forms bowls and vases into her TreeArt sculptures after studying woodturning at Arrowmont School for Arts and Crafts in 1987. Jean has exhibited her work and demonstrated woodturning at galleries and shows from New York to Georgia. She maintains an active membership in the American Association of Woodturners and the International Wood Collectors Society."
